Frequently Asked Questions:
What is THREADING?
It is a “tried-and-true” method of facial hair removal that works on all skin types and conditions. This service uses 100% pure cotton thread which is twisted and pulled along the skin’s surface, lifting the hair directly from the root.
My advice:
It's better for your skin than waxing is. Your skin won't turn red from heat or chemicals.
Hair can be removed when it is short enough to tweeze, so you don't have to wait as long to touch up.
Caring for Freshly Waxed Skin
24 hours before AND after waxing:
· Do not expose yourself to the sun or tanning beds
· Do not wear tight or constricting clothing
· Do not go swimming or use a hot tub
· To help avoid ingrown hairs, exfoliate the areas that have been waxed with a scrubby mitt in the shower. Start the day after you have been waxed and continue everyday for a few more days.
My advice:
Let's talk about waxing: commit to doing it consistently! Waxing every 3-4 weeks should leave you with smooth and hairless skin. The key to allowing the closest possible wax is to relax. I use the best quality wax designed for sensitive skin, with calming pre- and post-wax skin care products to make your waxing service as non-abrasive as possible. For correct hygiene and sanitation, I use a new applicator each time wax is applied to the skin.
With any service I offer, remember to:
·Feed your skin, too. Make sure that you get all your vitamins, as well as minerals and essential fatty acids to support your skin's immune system so it can do its job most effectively.
·Give your skin some hydration – drink water!
